RIP Mr. Whitton. Our hearts mourn for our neighbors, the Whittons. Mr. P.C, was one of the FINEST men, that I had the privilege of knowing. He and Mrs. Rose were never without a big smile, and a friendly wave. They just don't make em like that anymore. I will surely miss our conversations on the driveway. Rest easy my friend. Mrs. Rose, Kim, as always, we are just a phone call away. Our Hearts and Prayers go out to yall.

My Paw-Paw gained his angel wings yesterday morning after a strong battle with COVID-19. Please pray for my family in this rough heartbreaking time. My Paw-Paw was known for bragging about his grandgirls, his “oh damns and oh shits”, never meeting a stranger, and being the kindest man with the biggest heart. He and my granny were married for 63 years and are the true model of a beautiful marriage. We always used to have this thing where every picture we had to kiss his cheek (our idea and he ate it up). My Paw-Paw and I had a special bond as he actually raised me as a baby while my parents were at work until my granny retired and he had to “share” the job. He used to dance me to sleep every day to the point that my dad had to follow suit. Even as a 25 year old woman I would still always crawl into his lap and lay my head on his chest and he’d always whisper in my ear. “I love you and am so proud of you my sugar baby.” Paw-Paw I am going to miss you so much and daily events will never be the same without you. You make sure god has just the right recliner for you to watch your hallmark movies in. He may even let you watch the Christmas ones all year since it is heaven after all. And I’m sure he has a huge casino with lots of slot machines waiting just for you. Love, Your Sugar Baby

We feel so blessed to have known Paw Paw, even if for a short few years, and to have had the opportunity to fellowship over delicious meals and exchange life stories. There was an instant connection for me when he (and Granny) began sharing stories about their work experiences. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the whole family, as Paw Paw is and will be sorely missed.
