He was born on October 26, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois and came to Port Charlotte, Florida, from Oak Forest, Illinois fifteen years ago. Mr. Malindzak was a Veteran of WW-II serving in the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Robert J. Mac Alvanah Chapter of the Merchant Marines and attended ST. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Port Charlotte, Florida; his 2 sons, Edward Malindzak of New Lennox, Illinois and John Malindzak of Pleasanton, California; his daughter, Nancy Calcaterra of Corpus Christi, Texas; one step-son, Glenn Reese of Miami, Florida; 3 step-daughters, Paula Andrus of Las Vegas, Nevada, Judy Anton of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Nancy Marple of Miramar, Florida. His sister, Mercedes Davy of South Bend, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial services Friday, August 22, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with military honors by the Robert J. Mac Alvanah Chapter of the Merchant Marines, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida
