Kristie L McManmon
July 12, 1972 – June 26, 2020
Kristie Lee McManmon, born on July 12, 1972 in Eloise Michigan, passed away on June 26, 2020 at age 47 in Arcadia Florida. Kristie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer on February 9, 2017. Kristie fought a personal and courageous battle with the cancer for more than three years. Kristie showed no signs of weakness or defeat. In April of 2020, Kristie suffered from a complication caused by the chemotherapy and it took a toll on her body from which she was unable to recover.
Kristie was raised in southeast Michigan. She was a graduate of Truman High School in Taylor Michigan. Kristie later attended a school of cosmetology but ultimately ended up working in the dental field. Kristie met Rory McManmon in October of 1993 and the two married on September 16, 1995. Kristie and her husband adopted eight children. She and her family moved to the rural area of French Town Township in Michigan. Kristie loved animals (domestic, farm, and exotics). Some favorites were her Belgian Draft Horse (Eppinine), her Miniature Pig (Maggie), her Ringtail Lemur (Julian), and her Albino Kangaroo (Austin). Kristie was a very devoted and hardworking mother and homemaker, and a loving, caring, and supportive wife to her husband. She went out of her way to ensure that her husband’s life was as carefree as possible. Kristie’s favorite pastimes were attending her kids sporting events, camping with family and friends, fishing, and spending time with her mother.
Kristie was survived by her husband and life partner of 27 years, Rory McManmon and their eight children (Nisa, Hailee, Kyler, Bradley, Antonio, Brody, Juliana, and Bristol), her mother and father Barbara and Garland McDonald, and her four brothers (Ronald, Randy, Rusty, and Chad). Kristie is preceded in death by grand-parents Ezell and Alfred McDonald and Alice Mason. It was Kristie’s wish to be cremated and to have no services. Kristie wished to be remembered as she was; beautiful and full of life, energy, and kindness. Kristie will be dearly missed by all that were fortunate to know and love her.
Anyone who wishes to do something in Kristie’s memory, please donate to her favorite charity; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
