R. Martin Cole, Jr., 69, of North Port, Florida died June 18, 2007. He was born July 16, 1937 in Arcadia, Florida to Ralph M. Sr. and Ethel Dixon Cole.
He lived in the Englewood area all of his life. He was the Manager and a Captain for the Palm Island Transit for over 27 years.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Terri Cole of North Port; his 2 sons Marty of Cocoa, Florida and Rick Connick, Jr. of Tampa, Florida; 3 daughters, Sharon Crews of Jacksonville, Florida, Wanda Roberts of Tampa, Florida and Trisha Nolan of Bradenton, Florida; 2 brothers, Joseph Cole of Englewood and Buck Cole of Placida, Florida; 3 sisters, Deanna Futch of Port Charlotte, Florida, Amelia Player of Americus, Georgia and Martha Jean Ireland of Lowland, North Carolina and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel. Funeral services will be at the Suncoast Worship Center on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
