

Robert “Robbie” Robbins, 65, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away August 23, 2011. He was born August 5, 1946 in Camden NJ and moved to this area in 2005 from Oak Island, NC. He retired after 26-1/2 years as a Police Officer in Lindenwold, NJ. Robbie had 43 years of active service with the Fraternal Order of Police, 28 years with F.O.P. Lodge #9 in NJ, 10 years with F.O.P. Lodge #53 in NC and 6 years with F.O.P. Lodge #66 in Port Charlotte currently serving as Acting President for 4 years. He also served in the F.O.P. National Legislative Committee for 12 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Hospital Corpsman.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years Kathleen; daughters, Christine (James) Reese of NJ; Stacy (Dan McCulley) Robbins of NJ; Jamie (Jonathan) Beasley of VA; brother, Stephen (Vicki) Robbins of NJ; grandchildren, Derrick, Jeremy, Jachob, Jillian, Madison, Karson, Jaxon, Braelyn; four sister-in-laws; five brother-in-laws; sixteen nieces and nephews and two great nephews
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at F.O.P., R.E. Lister Memorial Lodge #66.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to F.O.P., R.E. Lister, Memorial Lodge #66, 23300 Harper Avenue, Port Charlotte, FL. 33980
