Ruth Dutcher, 80, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away December 1, 2018 at her home. She was born in 1938 to Charles Leonard and Mabel Ball Carr of Port Byron, NY. Ruth graduated from Port Byron Central School, Class of 1956. She married Richard Dutcher in 1958 and they were married for 52 years. He predeceased her in 2010.
In 1976, she graduated from SUNY of Morrisville as a Registered Nurse. Ruth worked at CMH in Hamilton for 25 years and Fawcett Hospital for 12 years. In her words she believes Nursing is a great profession. For over 50 years, her home was in Morrisville, NY and she wintered in Punta Gorda, FL for over 35 years. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by a brother, William Carr of Lynchburg, VA and sister-in-law Agnes Carr of Lynchburg,VA and Marjorie Ellinwood of Montezuma, NY. Brother-in-law Robert Dutcher of Montezuma and Lawrence Dutcher of SC.
Her children and their families, James Dutcher of Morrisville, NY, Peggy Dutcher of White Bluff, TN, Jane Christenbury of Charlotte, NC and Rick Dutcher of Morrisville, NY. There are 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 25, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at the Morrisville home location.
