Kay, I can only imagine your grief at the loss of dear Alonzo. I had the privilege of knowing him and working with him, when I was on the staff of AASA. What fond memories, and what a good friend. Thank you for keeping in touch and please accept my most sincere sympathy. The world has lost a ray light tonight. Nick Penning

I am truly saddened by the loss of Alonzo. I first met him when I was an administrator in Roosevelt and then reconnected when I was superintendent in West Islip. Alonzo was an exceptional man, a distinguished educator and administrator.
