I met Inge when Eileen and I were 5 years old and in the same kindergarten class. We were best friends, and for years we asked Inge if Eileen could sleep over my house (we lived a block apart). Inge's answer was always, "I like all my chicks in the nest at night". She was a young widow and her grace and perseverance were evident. Inge worked very hard on her beautiful home and garden, and of course for so many years in the 3 Village School District. She dressed beautifully, always wore make up and jewelry... and a smile (well, maybe once or twice we rotten kids turned it upside down). She spoke her mind, loved her family and friends, music and dancing (I can see her and Milt now), and really enjoyed a good laugh. Inge was like another mother to me. I will hold her in my heart with love and thanks for all of our happy memories, and because she was an amazing woman. Rest in peace. You are loved!

Inge was a wonderful colleague that worked with us for many years at Ward Melville HS. She was an integral part of the staff and shared many fine days with us. She was dedicated to her work at Melville and she will be missed.
