Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Patricia Gaynor (Gary), James LoManto (Laura Geelan), Laura Colnes (Robert) and Virginia LoManto (Tim White). Cherished grandfather of Stephen Lyzak, Nicholas LoManto (Caitlin), Brianne LoManto, Kristen Schlecht (Marc), Jillian LoManto, Rebecca Colnes, Samuel Colnes, Hannah White and Jamieson White. Adored great grandfather of Liam and Kellan LoManto.
Jim was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: his “famiglia bella” as he called them. He loved Italian cooking and passed down treasured recipes to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, especially camping with his extended family, creating lasting memories of Spring breaks in Disney World and summers in Montauk. He had a fondness for music, especially The Three Tenors and Il Volo. He was kind and generous and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
A visitation for James will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Hwy, Port Jefferson Station, New York 11776. Funeral mass on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel at St. Charles, 200 Belle Terre Road, Port Jefferson, NY 11777. Cremation Private.
