Coke Ehrig, 82, of Port Lavaca, passed away, April 17, 2013. Coke was born, July 14, 1930, in Gonzales, Texas. He and Bernice lived in Port Lavaca for over 35 years. He enjoyed the coffee club at the Wagon Train, dancing and shuffleboard. Coke retired as an operator from Alcoa and was a member of the VFW Post 4403 and the Alcoa 25 year Club. He served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran.
Coke is survived by his three sons, Charles Dawson of Portage, Indiana; Bruce Dawson of Valparaiso, Indiana and John Dawson of Kaufman, Texas. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Bernice Benzel Ehrig.
A visitation for family and friends will be held, Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 2-5 PM at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 22, 2013, at 11 AM at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
