She was born in McKeesport, PA, on July 18, 1947. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lehigh Acres prior to moving to Port Orange in 2022. She retired from the State of Maryland Register of Wills, but she also held other jobs, one of which was new home sales for Winchester Homes. Over the years she was an active participant within the various churches she belonged to. She enjoyed reading, nature, wildlife, and supporting local athletic groups. She took pleasure in her role as a New Resident Ambassador at Countryside Lakes Independent Living. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family.
She was a loving wife of 50 years to the late Wilbur Eichler and also was preceded in death by her parents John Dennis and Marie Bonnett, and her brother, John Bonnett. Kate is survived by her children: Lisa (Peter) Smith, Holli (Rick) Carullo, Katie (Stevie) Sullivan and Suzanne Eichler; her grandchildren: Alaina Smith, Patrick Smith, Julia Smith, Noah Carullo and Jeramy Carullo; her sister Sandy (Rollin) Pittman and sisters-in-law Andrene Bonnett and Sally Kaltenbach, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A Memorial Service honoring Kate's life will be held Tuesday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Port Orange, 305 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange FL 32127, with a reception and fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude's.
