Kaye Gargas (deceased), passed away peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021,
surrounded by his family. Born on June 1, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey,
son of Michael Gargas (deceased) and Teresa Mustacchio (deceased), he
is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Tanya and BJ West of
New Smyrna Beach, FL, Tara and Eric Novotny of Waterford, VA, and
Tammy and Peter Ferris of Glastonbury, CT, by two brothers and their
wives, John and Maureen Gargas and James and Elaine Mustacchio, and
six grandchildren Tyler, Derek, Brooke, Chloe, Michael, and Anita.
Mike was a devoted husband and loving father; providing for the family was
his first priority. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren, and
was often found cheering them on. He was a successful business owner
and an avid supporter of creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
He impacted the lives of so many with his generosity, love, and kindness.
He loved boating, travel, anything Greek, the GOP, and enjoying food with
friends and family. He had a tremendous sense of humor and was famous
for recounting entertaining stories of his childhood. His uncontrollable
laughter will be deeply missed by many.
A memorial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 31, at 10 am in the chapel
of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Boulevard, Port
Orange, Florida 32129.
