She actively participated in the St. Andrew Seniors Group, line-dancing, bowling, baking pies, and singing in the church choir. In her quiet moments she enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, knitting, playing the piano, and caring for her plants. Phyllis is survived by her three children; Dawn (Llewellyn) Courtright of Hamlin, PA; Cynthia (Scott) Bartal of Port St. Lucie, FL; and John (Joan) Hannes of Mahwah, NJ; and a great blessing of nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren whom she loved with great pride; and her siblings Philip Kirk and Sharon Bruno. Gracious, kind, loving, those are the 3 words I think of when I think of Phyllis. My parents would come to visit her daughter’s and while the last little details were being sorted out, She would talk to my Dad and keep him company. A good memory I have was playing games with her great grandchildren after supper. She was not tired and enjoyed each of them as she kept order and the games moving.
