He was born in Sayreville, New Jersey on April 7, 1945 where he lived for 46 years before residing in Port St. Lucie, Florida for 27 years.
Raymond graduated in 1963 from Hoffman High School in South Amboy, New Jersey. Following graduation he served in the United States Air Force as Air Police and received an honorable discharge after serving 4 years during the Vietnam War. During his service in the Air Force he married his wife, Carol Gilanyi.
Raymond worked as a computer analyst and IT tech and retired in Port St. Lucie, Florida. His interests included golfing, boating, fishing, music, and attending baseball games.
He was a member of Sunlight Community Church in Port St. Lucie where he served as treasurer.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ploskonka of 53 years; daughter and son-in-law, Danielle & Ademil Castrillo; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kendall, Matthew Steiner, Amelia, Esabella, Jerome, and Jevon Castrillo; great grandson, Aden Slater; sister, Joan McCabe. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Steiner, parents Raymond & Helen Ploskonka, and brother Richard Ploskonka.
Visitation is being held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 pm followed by a celebration service at 3:00 pm at Aycock at Tradition Life Celebration Center, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34987.
