Joseph Thomas Davio Sr.

BMC, Joseph T. Davio, Sr. was born on May 26, 1935, in Springfield MA. In 1953, at the age of 18, Joe joined the U.S. Navy, and served for 22 years, including during the Vietnam War. Joe was a decorated veteran when he retired in 1982. For his service he was awarded several commendations including a Purple Heart. Joe was a member of the VFW and the Elks. In his later years Joe enjoyed cooking at home with Dolores, his wife of 28 years. Joe and Dolores also enjoyed dinner and dancing at the Elks and VFW, and traveling around Maine. Joe had a quick wit and a great sense of humor; he was always ready with a story. Joe was charismatic and his personality made everyone enjoy being around him. Joe’s family, friends and neighbors will miss him dearly.
