Sheryl "Sherie" Ray of Portland died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 at the age of 65, following a long illness. She was the youngest daughter of the late Barbara and Lawrence Ray of West Linn, Ore. She attended West Linn High School, Clackamas Community College and worked as a Nursing Aid earlier in her life.
She is survived by her brother, Mr. Ed Ray of Arvada, Colo.; sister, Dr. Kathleen (Ray) Lagana of Portland; nieces, Courtney Bookstaver and Melisa Saggau; nephew, Justin Phelps; and five great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and rugged individualism. Her favorite song was "Tomorrow" from Annie. She is interred at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland.
