Ivan A Deitz

Ivan A Deitz, 81 of Waddington and formally of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, May 3rd at the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Ivan is survived by his mother Emily Maxwell of Albany, four sons; Marc and Diane of Albany, Alfred of Norfolk, Ivan Jr and Connie of Albany and Christopher and Helen of Albany, two daughters; Dolores and Jerry Andrews Potsdam and Shelly and Laurence Milowe of Florida, one brother Don and Jane Deitz of Albany, three sisters; Dorothy Dubois, Eileen Clemens and Joan and Harvey Goldstein all of Albany, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ivan was predeceased by his father Ivan and two wives; Carolyn and Roseann. Mr. Deitz was born to Ivan and Emily (Maxwell) Deitz in Albany on January 12, 1935. He attended Rensselaer City School. He worked a majority of his life as a truck driver for Sysco. Ivan was an avid bass fisherman and hanging out at Sharlow’s Gas Station in Waddington. He was a good friend to many and a loving father.
