Gary L. "Dig'em" Hartzog

Gary L. “Dig’em” Hartzog, 57, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away Friday September 14, 2018. A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday September 19th at 10:00 AM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Dr. Garner Clark officiating and eulogy by Johnny Hartzog. Burial followed in Rocky Hill Cemetery in Autaugaville.

Gary was born on November 7, 1960 in Panama City, Florida to William and JoAnn Hartzog. He was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed the outdoor life, especially hunting and fishing. Gary is survived by his daughter and son in law, Shanasi and Justin Smith of Prattville; his son and daughter in law, Cameron and Elizabeth Hartzog of Prattville; two grandsons, Hunter and Easton Smith; his parents, JoAnn and William Hartzog of Deatsville; his sister and brother in law, Kathy E. and Dominique Christini of Largo, Florida; two brothers and sisters in law; Johnny and Summer Hartzog of Montgomery, Wendell and Kathy Hartzog of Irmo, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends.
