January 2, 2024 at the age of 60.
Sheila was a stubborn and strong-willed individual who lived her life exactly the way she wanted to. She grew up in South Fort George; a location that remained very dear to her throughout her life. In her youth, she frequented coffee shops with her beloved friends who she maintained throughout her life (Dave, Leigh, Alex, Sylvie and others) and caused plenty of mischief wherever and whenever she could. She was never one to back down from a fight, and probably more willing to start one than not. She worked at 7-11 for numerous years before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mother and homesteader with Mike and her daughter Christy-Anne. She was always able to find some fun in life, and if not, she had no problem creating the fun herself i.e. frog catching, snake chasing, running away from spiders or throwing some of her quick-witted humor in other’s direction. She always had a big heart, taking others under her wing in whichever way she could, from her daughter’s friends to co-workers and her own family; she was always looking out and after the people she cared about whether they wanted her to or not. For nearly the last decade, she had been working at the Salvation Army Thrift Stores where she was a familiar and friendly face to many. She will be remembered for her humor and fiery, lively spirit and the ungodly amount of sugar and cream she put in her coffees.
Sheila is survived by her spouse Michael Noonan, daughter Christy-Anne Jensen-Ott (Nathan Ott), sister Nancy Louwe (Jake), nieces Allison and Lucia and brothers Elmer, Larry and Kim Jensen. She was predeceased by her father Carl and mother Anne Jensen.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Salvation Army Church, located at 777 Ospika Blvd. S., Prince George, on January 18, 2024 beginning at 2:00 pm.
