Kenneth D. Barone, 66, passed away suddenly at home on June 24, 2018.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary (DePari) Barone; husband of Tracy J. (Iemma) Barone; father of Ashley M. Barone and Courtney M. Fiske; grandfather of Alexandria; brother of Dolores β€œDee” Santopadre, Ronald J. Barone, Joseph F. Barone Jr. and his wife Kathleen, and Jeffrey P. Barone and his wife Barbara Ann; former husband of Janette (Leal) Celona; uncle of several nieces and nephews and uncle of the late Joseph F. Barone III.

Kenneth was a remarkable man. Growing up around his parents that were amazing chefs, he quickly grasped the talent that was in his blood. He loved to cook and enjoy the many Italian dishes that he grew up on. He spent many years on Block Island as a chef of the Barone family restaurant. Along with his brothers, they shared many happy memories on Block Island.

He also loved to ride his motorcycle. He spent time riding with close friends near and far. Traveling to many states on his bike with the wind in his hair. He would give a friend the shirt off of his back if need be. He could make you smile and laugh with no hesitation.

Full of life and love, Kenny loved his family and would always talk highly of his relatives. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 251.

Visitation will be held Friday, 9-11 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.

My most vivid memory of Kenny was in Holy Ghost School. He had the biggest blue eyes and a warm sweet smile. He was always a nice boy and I’m sure he grew to be a wonderful man. My condolences to his family and friends. I pray that his loved ones somehow can find peace in his passing, until you are all together again. May he Rest In Peace, love and light from Heaven. πŸ™πŸ™β™₯οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β™₯οΈπŸŒΈπŸ™β™₯️🌸🌸β™₯οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

I met Kenny on my first day at Nathaniel Greene Jr. High. Our English teacher, Miss Lynch had a reputation as a tough teacher. Kenny walked up to her and asked, "Are you as mean as everyone says you are?" She said, "Meaner"
And that started the great relationship those two had for the next 2 years.
It still makes me smile.
