Barbara Jean Gonzales

Barbara Jean Gonzales passed peacefully on November 6, 2018 after battling a long illness. She was born on June 26, 1932 to Pete and Irene Padilla. Barbara left this earthly world to join those that preceded her in death, parents Pete and Irene Padilla, husband John M Gonzales, brothers Robert Padilla and Pete Padilla Jr. granddaughter Lea M Gonzales as well as beloved pups Chiquita and Peetee. She married John M. Gonzales on September 21, 1948 in Raton New Mexico and lived a long and beautiful life. She retired after many years of service as the Business Manager at the Pueblo City-County Health department and served her community by volunteering for many organizations and causes. Barbara is survived by her children Robert and Gloria Gonzales, Gary and Jeanne Gonzales, her brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Connie Padilla. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle and Chris Hines, Annie Gonzales, Michael and Dorine Gonzales, Ariann and Levi Lovato, Natalie and Heather Foechterle, Stephanie and Nathan Cromer along with her great grandchildren John Paul Gonzales, Robert Lee Chavez, Alyssia Gonzales, Jordan Salas, Liliana and Landen Lovato and her great great grandchild Jax Gonzales.

Viewing will be held at TG McCarthy Funeral Home on November 13th from 4 to 6 followed by rosary from 6 to 6:30 and social gathering from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church Wednesday November 14th, 11:00 am.
