Dora Wilkins, age 103, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on Friday September 6, 2019. Dora was born October 25, 1915 in Pictou, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruben and Balbina (Trujillo) Sandoval; Husband Emilio Wilkins; Daughter Marie Bates; Brothers Ernest, Leo, Ruben, Ray, and Orlando Sandoval; Sisters Amanda Sandoval and Della Smith; and former husband and father of her children August "Corky" Leyba. Dora is survived by her children Martha (Julian) Manzanares, August "Ralph" (Emiko) Leyba, Elena (Warren) Manuel; Step-daughters Frankie Dolehany, Patsy Maestaz, Paula Moriska, and Jackie Wilkins; Siblings Xavier Sandoval, Rachael Sammon and Manuel (Dixie) Sandoval; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her. After marrying her husband, they lived in West Jordan, Utah. She returned to Pueblo, Colorado in 1993 after Emilio passed away. In her wonderfully long life Dora enjoyed watching her Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. She also enjoyed cooking, gambling, crocheting, and anything that allowed her to spend time with her family. A funeral mass for Dora will be held Friday, September 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church here in Pueblo.
