Eileen "Boots" Erjavec

Eileen "Boots" Erjavec, 86, born in Canon City, Colo. on April 8, 1932, passed away in Pueblo, Colo. on Dec. 8, 2018. She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Mary (Adamic) Starika, and brother, Joseph Starika, Jr. Boots is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stan Erjavec; children, Diane (Alan) Eickelman, Stanley (Pam) Erjavec, Mary Beth (Shawn) Shelton, and Patricia (Michael) Ulisse; grandchildren, Angela, Timothy (Katri), Joshua (Miranda), Joey (Morgan), Matthew, Maria, and Paul; great grandchildren, Jacob and August. Boots loved reading, dancing and polka music; and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Preseren Glee Club Choir and KSKJ. Thanks to The Chateau at Sharmar, and Sharmar Memory Care Unit for their wonderful care and compassion these past seven years; to Frontier Hospice for making her final days a more comfortable transition; and to Monsignor Jim Koenigsfeld and Deacon Dan Leetch for their blessings and presence for Boots and her family in her final hour. Viewing will take place Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at T. G. McCarthy Funeral Home. A Rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m., followed by The Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Dec. 14, 2018, at St. Mary Help of Christians Church at 217 East Mesa Avenue, Pueblo, Colo. 81006.
