John H. Powers

John H. Powers, 88, of Pueblo, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. John was born January 11, 1930. John was preceded in death by his loving wife Winona; parents John and Hazel Powers; four sisters, Juanita Egley, Martha Smith, Georgie Wilson and Lyda Wilkerson; seven brothers Ed, Roy, Jack, Frank, Dennis, James and Bill; and granddaughter Amanda Phelps.

He grew up in Model Colorado and moved to Pueblo in 1950. John worked for CF&I Steel Mill, in the maintenance department for 62 years. He was a lifetime member of the Elks.

John will be missed by his three children Rebecca Powers, Leesa (Santiago) Archuleta, and Cliff Powers; sister Patricia King; two sister-in-laws Gloria Powers and Lois Powers; two grandchildren, Randy Phelps and Makale Meier; two great grandchildren Tayler Lenz and Arron Phelps; two great great grandchildren Kylie and Jaxon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers at the Chateau at Sharmar and Sharmar Village Care Center.

A Viewing will occur Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 2-6pm at Imperial Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will occur on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2pm in the Imperial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Imperial Memorial Gardens.
