

Rose Volk, passed away April 19, 2014 at the age of 96. She was born July 27, 1917 in Ludlow, CO. She was preceded in death by husband Joseph ; son, Robert; parents, Annie and Pete Zele; siblings, Francis Tomsic, Anthony and Louis Kapel, William Zele, Janie Yaklich and Stephanie Wells, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Romontio. She is survived by son, Ron (Elaine); daughter-in-law, Judy Volk; grandchildren, Rebecca (Joe) Himich, Larry (Shannon), Ken (Chris), Jim (Pam), Roby (Jen), Joe (Mandy), Tim (Jean), Ron (Amy) Volk; brother-in-law, George Romontio; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was a member of St. Mary Parish where she had been involved in Altar Rosary Society, Visitation Ministry, and Bishop Guild for many years. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception 104 and Western Slavonic Lodge 116. She was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed walking very much. The family would like to thank Dr. Jim Stjernholm and the staff at Life Care for the excellent care they gave to Rose. Viewing, Thursday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the funeral home. Rosary, Friday, 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m., St. Mary’s Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. The family requests no food or flowers. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary’s Church Restoration of The Bells fund.
