Stephen Paul Kralik
December 1, 1937 – May 28, 2019
Stephen P. Kralik, departed this life on May 28, 2019 in Denver, Colo. He was born Dec. 1, 1937, in Walsen Camp, Colo. to the union of Pete P. and Albina S. Kralik. Steve attended St. Mary’s grade school in Walsenburg and graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School in 1955. He attended Creighton University and received his masters in hospital administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He worked in the field of hospital administration at a number of hospitals including St. Mary-Corwin and the Colorado State Veterans Center in Monte Vista from which he retired in 2000. He served in Company B of the 14th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks in Hawaii where he was discharged with the rank of 1st Lt. He was active in various organizations including Lions club, Rotary club. He was Grand Night of the Knights of Columbus in Gunnison and founding member of the St. Aloysius K of C Council in Rye, Colo. where he served as a Grand Knight. Steve loved to hunt, fish and travel He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol Kralik; his children, Brandon Kralik of Maui, Hawaii and Tanya Kralik (Ben) Enns of Sante Fe, N.M.; four grandchildren, Julia Harvey, Anthony Fano, Jack Enns and Frida Lindberg; and a number of cousins. Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. on June 5, 2019 , followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Rye, Colo. Interment will follow the Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery adjoining the church. A reception will be held after the interment at the church hall.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Carol Kralik;
Children, Brandon Kralik of Maui, Hawaii and Tanya Kralik (Ben) Enns of Sante Fe, N.M.;
Four grandchildren, Julia Harvey, Anthony Fano, Jack Enns and Frida Lindberg; and a number of cousins.
