Allen B. Schoelkopf

Allen B. Schoelkopf, 90, of Raleigh, passed away on December 6, 2013. He was born on January 5, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Louis and Annette Schoelkopf. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Russell and Earl Schoelkopf.

Allen was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army Air Force. After his service, he graduated from the University of Baltimore. Allen retired from Bristol Myers as a Department Head of Material Handling. He enjoyed bowling, all animals, and being outdoors.

Allen is survived by his loving wife Eileen; two daughters, Leslie Schoelkopf, of Raleigh, NC, and Laurie Schoelkopf and her husband, Andrew Lohmann, of Claremont, CA; and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Elissa Lohmann, also of Claremont, CA.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, from 12:00 to 1:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. Services will begin at 1:00pm, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place following the reception at Raleigh Memorial Park.
