Anne Francisco Truesdell

Anne Francisco Truesdell, 90, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
Anne was born September 1, 1930 to the late Essie Mae Zirkle Francisco and William H. Francisco. She grew up in Luray, Virginia. Anne's father passed away when she was 7, as a result of damage suffered in World War I. Anne graduated from High School at 17 and moved to Washington, DC, where she worked for the FBI in the fingerprint department. Anne attended a Methodist Church young adult fellowship there, where she met her future husband, Donovan Truesdell. They became engaged before Don was stationed in Japan for a year. Anne moved back home to Luray for that year. They were married there on December 19, 1954 and made their home as newlyweds in Wash , D.C. They were married for 57 years.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Donovan F. Truesdell, Sr., who passed away in April 27, 2012.
Anne is survived by her children: Karen Truesdell Rodenhizer and her partner William Neill McCormick, Donovan Fred Truesdell, Jr., Mary Anne Truesdell-Stangby and her husband Lawrence Stangby, and Samuel Karl Truesdell and his wife Patti M. Truesdell.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Hilarie Anne Rodenhizer; Brooke Taylor Rodenhizer; Briehan Truesdell McElroy; Chelsey Truesdell Fleisher; Donovan Chance Truesdell and Lucille Ridgely Stangby.
She is survived by three great grandchildren: Booker Michael McElroy, Juniper Josephine McElroy, and Elliott Mae Fleisher.
For much of her life, Anne was a part-time antiques dealer. She specialized in antique dolls, toys, and glassware. Her pursuit of bargains for resale gave her great joy. Her husband, Don joined her in the antiques trade after his retirement. They enjoyed attending antique shows and flea markets together and made many new friends along the way.
Anne was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, including her 44 years as a member of the congregation of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Raleigh. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity for everyone she met.
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm - 1:00pm on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd. Raleigh, NC 27607. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in the Chapel.
