Wanda Kay Byrd Powell of Raleigh, died January 9, 2019, at the age of 76.

Surviving is husband, Douglas Powell and daughters Paige Powell Bulloch and Deborah Norman (Rob); Sisters, Elizabeth Jackson of Kinston, NC and Elsie Sears (Earl) of Rocky Mount, NC and grandchildren, Austin, Courtney and Brooke.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Conrad Jones and sister Edith Kornegay (Donnell) of Mt. Olive, NC.

A Memorial service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Rd, on Sat, January 12, 2019, at 2:00 pm followed by a reception. Memorial flowers may be sent to the church.
