April 10, 1927 – May 9, 2018
Herma Brown Eddy (91) of Belpre, Ohio passed from this life May 9th surrounded by family. Born Herma Nell Miller, April 10, 1927, to Curtis Ray and Mary Pearl (Vanhorn) in Shock, WV. Her life was spent in service to those she loved fueled by her love for Christ. She lived Micah 6:8, “and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband French Junior Brown, husband Robert Lee Eddy, brothers Charles & Rondel and sister Dorma Hartshorn. She is survived by her loving brothers George (Kate) Miller and Willard (Carolyn) Miller, and her seven children, Larry (Ginny), Roger (Gail), Gordon (Carolyn), Gene (Pam), Mary Cotterell, Don (Cyndi), and Jan Hartman (John). Her marriage to Robert Eddy after being a widow for 25 years also blessed her with four bonus children Robert Jr. (Susie), Rodney (Patsy), Guyla Terry (John), and Jennifer Weaver (Steve). These children brought joy to Herma as they gave her 40 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren. Her life was full, and she will be greatly missed, but we are comforted that she was at peace with her God.
A service will be held Friday 7:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with visitation from 5-7 PM. There will be visitation Saturday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home in Ravenna, OH with a service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph Township.
