Viola O. Wise

Viola was born in Cumberland City, TN. on September 1, 1924 to parents Luther and Achie (Reynolds) Lynch and was the oldest of six children.

Viola married her husband James while he was serving in the U.S. Army and devoted much of her life to caring for others and had worked at the Portage County Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. She was a feisty woman who loved reading, crocheting, having her family around for get togethers, baking, warm sunny days sitting on her porch and anything Sweet!

Viola is survived by her children: Delores (Clarence) Keller and Jerry (Ramona) Wise. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Ronald (Pamela) Keller, Krista Keller-Groves, Monica (Todd) Hilliard, Cindy (Bobby) Wain, Mindy (Al) Gordon, Shawn (Kyra) Wise and great-grandchildren: Michael (Sarah) Groves, Shelby Groves, Lance Corporal Tyler Hilliard, Jordyn Hilliard, Alex Wain, Vickie Gordon, Cameron Gordon, Madison Wise, Mason Wise and great-great grandson Beau Groves. She is also survived by her sibling Imy Hinten and her faithful caregiver Keri.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Josh Elswick, her husband James, grandson Ronald, her siblings: James and Wilbur Lynch, Mackie Barbie, Willie Spicer, her sisters-in-laws Doris and Jean Wise and brother-in-law Harold Wise.

Graveside funeral services, officiated by Pastor David Rosenberger, will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Maple Grove Cemetery.
