Raymond David Hiester

Raymond David Hiester, 72, of Laureldale, PA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his residence. Born January 13, 1949 in Reading, PA he was the son of the late Betty Cora (Hiester) Loeb, Loris Loeb Sr. and William Wellington Heister Sr.

Raymond was employed by Wilson School District as a custodian for 10 years, retiring in 1999. He also was the owner and operator of Poppa Bear CB shop.

Raymond loved firing up his CB radio and broadcasting his persona across the airwaves. What his family wouldn’t give to hear him one last time.

Raymond enjoyed wrestling and fishing. He also enjoyed quality time with his cherished and faithful pitbull, "Diamond". However, above all else Raymond truly treasured his grandchildren, great grandchildren and sitting around the fire pit with his family.

Raymond's spirit will be carried on by his beloved wife of 54 years, Donna (Remp) Hiester; his precious pitbull Diamond, 2 sons Ron Hiester and his wife April, of Fleetwood; Jim Hiester and his wife Thersea, of Schuylkill Haven; daughter April Dietrich, of Millmont; 4 sisters Nancy Snyder and her husband Ronnie, Debbie Fitzgerald, Linda Staboliski, Joyce Ansel; 5 brothers Loris Loeb Jr. and his wife Kathy, Terry Loeb, Ronnie Loeb, Glen Loeb, Larry Loeb and his wife Susan. Raymond also leaves behind 10 grandchildren Trish and her husband Derrick, Ray and his wife Sam, Brandon, Jimmy, Bridgette, Derrick, Blade and his wife Alexandra, William, Bradley, Elizabeth; and 14 great grandchildren Cora, Angel, Melvin, Rhealyn, Damaris, Jay, Mojo, Zion, Exodius, Elliot, Vinny, Carmelo and Jewelie to cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was greeted in heaven by great granddaughter MiKayla, son-in-law Pat Dietrich and brother William Wellington Hiester Jr.

A viewing for Raymond will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pennsylvania 19601, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, with Dr. Rev. Robert Aregood officiating.
