With heavy hearts that are filled with gratitude for a long and happy life, we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Dorothy Gerlene Robillard (Nee DOUD) on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the age of 89. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Robillard; parents Joe and Malina Doud; siblings Micheal (Lorraine) Doud, Winnifred (Cressie) Ward, Bessie (Joe) Bangsund, Josephine (Melvin) Bangsund, Ellen Doud, Borgheld (Matt) Duignan, and Langan Doud; in-laws Martha (Ralph) Wells, Germaine Robillard, Albert Pigeon and Tony Kaytor. She is survived by her daughter Ila Rhea (Keith) and grandson Brendan (Emily); son Craig (Terese) and grandchildren Karissa, Victoria, and Justin, and daughter Wendy; sisters-in-law Shirley Bibby, Irene Robillard, Eleanor Pigeon, Marion Kaytor, Elizabeth Robillard; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born on the family farm near Maxim, SK. She attended normal school and retired from teaching in 1988. She was actively involved in the Catholic Women’s League and the Rebekahs. Family was first and foremost for mom. She enjoyed her travels with dad, winter time in Victoria, BC, and over the past few years, her holidays with her family. Mom loved to support Brendan at all of his sporting activities and most recently in his academic pursuits. She was so proud of him. A private family service and interment will be held at a later date. If you so desire, donations may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, specifically Palliative Care Services, 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3, or a charity of your choice. We appreciated Dorthy as a wonderful friend and neighbour over the last 49 years. The world was a much better place for having Dorothy in it. Our deepest sympathies to all of her family.
It was an honour to have her in our lives. May she rest in peace.

I met Dorothy through CWL in Portage la Prairie. We worked together often and she could be counted on for her quick wit and sense of humor. We all loved volunteering with Dorothy and have missed her since she moved. God speed, sister in heaven till we meet again! Sympathy to all the family.

Dorothy was a lovely lady and it has been an honour to have had her as a friend for many years. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
Rest in peace, my dear friend.
