Rose Grona

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Rose Grona on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the age of 84 years. She was born on November 10, 1937 to John and Margaret (Hickie) Augustine. Rose married Laurent Fortin on July 4, 1957. She is survived by her children Karen (Alfred) Vindevoghel, Ken and Michael Fortin; grandchildren Sheri Vindevoghel, Stacy (Gordon) Vindevoghel, Twyla (Kyle) Boehmer; great grandchildren Tavion, Tianna, Kailey, Keira, Lajyla Vindevoghel, Carson, and Cassie Boehmer; in-laws Gladys Augustine, and Ed Pawelko. Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Augustine; husbands Laurent Fortin, and Nick Grona. Rose was the last survivor of 17 children, god saved the best for last; two of which died at birth (names unknown); Annie and Charlie died in infancy, Margaret (Frank) Novak, Mary (Gus) Hodel, Katie (Wenzel) Appell, Mini (Ralph) Ludwar, Gertie (Leonard) Meyer, Caroline (Joe) Appell, Johanna Pawelko, Joe Augustine, John (Theresa) Augustine, Frank (Gerta) Augustine, Rudolph (Doreen) Augustine and Jack Augustine. A Prayer Service will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at Holy Family Church, 1021 McCarthy Blvd, Regina, SK on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation, P.O.
