Memorial services for Marshall K Lightfoot, Jr., 90, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Sparkman Dignity Funeral Home at 1029 Greenville Ave., Richardson, Texas with Dr. Dennis Hochgraber officiating.
Marshall was born on January 3, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Marshall K. (Sr.) and Maude Alice (Carroll) Lightfoot. He graduated from Highland Park High School and went on to graduate from SMU with a Business degree. College was interrupted by the Korean war, where he served as a Technical Sergeant in the Air Force. On April 23, 1965, Marshall married the love of his life, Kathryn Lynita Fillman, who was with her husband of 53 years when he passed away on January 16th in Dallas.
Marshall owned Lightfoot & Associates for more than 35 years, selling commercial lighting solutions for downtown Dallas skyscrapers, hospitals, DFW Airport and many other businesses across the region. He was a member of the Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church and a proud member of the American Legion.
Marshall is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carolyn Lightfoot-Rodgers, his son David K. Lightfoot, and his grandchildren Lewis and Elizabeth Lightfoot.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Katie Lightfoot of Dallas, Marshall K Lightfoot III (and wife Cynthia) of Rockwall, Alyson Cobb (and husband Mark) of Dallas, and Rob Riley (and wife Annie) of Dallas, joined by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends in the parlor directly after the service, where light refreshments will be available.
