Robert Hutcheson Seal, Jr., left us too soon on Tuesday, August 3, 2011. Born in 1956 in Dallas, Texas, and raised in San Antonio, he was a longtime resident of Dallas. Robert was predeceased by parents Mary Anne and Bob Seal, grandparents Anne Lewis Kellam, Waldo “Bo” Lewis and Merton Kellam, soulmate cousin Anne Schlosser, and beloved Aunt Ruth Lewis and Uncle John. He is survived by siblings Martha Seal, Stuart Seal (Sharon), and Eddie Seal (Carol), as well as nephew Will Torrey, nieces Marianna and Virginia Seal, nephew Conner Seal, “step-law” Kellam family, cousins and many dear friends. A lover of the arts and antiquities, avid rare book collector and aficionado, art collector, and fan of music from Debussy to Lou Reed, Robert was internationally recognized for amassing his superlative literary collection over a lifetime. With an extremely dry wit and amazing intellect, Robert touched the lives of those more and less fortunate. He requested no services. Interment will be at the Columbarium at First Presbyterian Church, 404 North Alamo, San Antonio TX on Friday, August 26 at 4:15 p.m. followed by a reception at the home of Sharon and Stuart Seal.
