Curtiss was born November 9, 1928 to Edwin and Anna Peterson of Stanchfield, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm and was the second youngest of six siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Grace Williams, Robert “Eddie” Peterson, Paul Peterson, Amy Shubert, and Jerry Peterson; daughter Cynthia Krimbill; and son-in-law John Klasons.
He is survived by his wife Nancy and daughters Jennifer Klasons, Cheryl Krimbill, Cathy (Peter) Highmark, Melissa, and Michelle (Kraig) Wheeler; grandchildren Jonathan Highmark, Nicole Highmark, Jessie Wheeler, Samuel (Jenna) Wheeler, David Wheeler, Elena (Dan) Brown, Jackie Wise-Peterson; and great granddaughter Paisley Brown.
Services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018. A private interment for family will be held at 10:15 AM at Fort Snelling. Visitation at 1 PM and a memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at 2 PM at Berean Baptist Church, 309 County Road 42 East, Burnsville, MN 55306.
