Bruce Adrian Thompson

Bruce A. Thompson, 63, of Hopewell, VA passed into the loving arms of His Lord on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at home with his wife by his side. Bruce was an avid bird hunter, fisherman, a proud member of Millwright Local 1402 and First Christian Church.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Otis C & Lillian G Thompson; and brother, Edward C Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Julie A Thompson; sisters, Judith T Hughes (Ernest), Claudia T Leech (Kenneth); sisters in law, Mary W Thompson (Edward), Elizabeth A Whelan (James); brother in law, Charles E Ayers Jr (Sarah); nieces, Jane T Carlisle (Cole) and Emily E Whelan; nephews, Jay Hughes Jr, E Carl Thompson Jr (Becca) and W Kenneth Leech Jr (Emily) Charles E Ayers III (Lois), J Mason Ayers (Marie), Alexander H Ayers (Erin).

Bruce’s Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at Frist Christian Church, 203 N 11th Ave., Hopewell, VA, March 23, 2019 at 11am.
