Charles Marshall Harris

Peter was born on June 15, 1961 to Queen E. Bugg Harris and to the late Charlie E. Harris. He was baptized at the Lombardy Grove Baptist Church. He attended Park View Senior High School. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Marines in 1979.

He first married, the late Jackie C. Smith-Harris. To this union, two sons were born, Charles and Kevin Harris. He later married, Vickie Harris, and to this union, Keith M. Harris was born.

Peter worked for Home Depot, Lowes, and as a handy-man and his desire was to become a truck driver. In 2016, after training for truck driving, he came back from Denver, CO paralyzed. He resided in Milford, VA with his companion, Peggy Loving, her daughter, Tracy Fortune, and grandson Lamon’Tray Fortune.

He leaves to cherish his mother, Queen E. Harris. Three sons, Charles D. Harris, Kevin M. Harris (LaSheka), and Keith M. Harris (Jenny). Seven grandchildren, Asia, Chris, Amara, C.J., Abigail, Jackson, and the late Baby Anna. One brother, Dennis L. Harris and two sisters, Ramona Jackson (Kamau) and Bernita F. Harris. Three aunts, Martha Rollins, Frankie Taylor, and Freda Lawrence (Ray). Five uncles, Wallace Jones, Samuel Taylor, Lewis Taylor, James Taylor, and Calvin Taylor (Leona). One nephew, Chase Harris (Rachel). One great-nephew, Zechariah Harris. And a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on December 21, 2019 at St. Stephens Baptist Church, 29436 Sparta Road Milford, VA 22514.
