Im Rita Smith, Dan hired me to work at Holly Farms Alex., Va My 1st job, I had my baby 2 weeks prio Oct 9, 1073  and wanted to help my husband financially. I heard Dans voice and all my fears melted, he was a New Yorker such as I. This was 1973, everything was new and strange being down south, but Dan kept me on my axis. We bonded as friends and watched the southern people go by. My husband was stationed at Belvoir and I made the decision to leave to Syracuse with our baby so my husband could process out with a clear mind. It was tuff sledding at home.  I realized how much I missed Dan and all the funny silly things in Holly Farms. Being in Syracuse and missing my friend your trying to handle it all, but the heart gains a few pounds,  for  my eyes are just wet as Im now listening to a new Elton John Song called Danielle and how he misses him so much. OUCH!  We reconnected by mail years later and talked a couple of times. My personal life was getting stormy so I said Ill be going far away dont know where yet. I just didnt want Dan to sense my inner turmoil, which I regretted.  He was an A-OK man who once was your friend....  was your friend .  I will leave my address in hopes of family or friend to help me know how he was, were  things difficult? If I could stay connect of Dan Stone a
while with someone who knew him, like Tony or Niel ? Would Loretta still be there? You know the usual questions that would help you feel yourself physically closer, I guess its obvious when you just dont want to let go, to make it final to say ❤❤Good Bye❤❤❤  I LOVE YOU MY FRIEND, MY TRUE FRIEND, SAVE A SPACE FOR ME UP THERE I KNOW WED JUST HAVE OUR USUAL HAPPY FUN.
