Thinking of J.D. on the anniversary of his passing.

Deb, I just found out about JD's passing, what a shock! I have many great memories of him at Camp Elmore cruising in his Camaro, the concerts we saw and the road trips to Nags Head and Kitty Hawk. I also remember your wedding in Traverse City and the great time we had. I hope all is well with you.  He was my best bud in the Corps. RIP JD, and Semper Fi brother!

When I first started at the City of Chesapeake Jeff was my supervisor. He made a lasting impact on me and was the type of person that you never forgot. He was always positive, kind and never spoke ill of other people. He truly possessed qualities that are very rare for this day and time. Jeff was more than a supervisor to me, he was a friend and I am truly saddened by this loss. God bless you Jeff, you will be truly missed!

I truly enjoyed knowing and working with Jeff.  He was a total professional. He loved his family and horses.  I remember how he never put material things above his purpose.  GOD BLESS YOU IN THE HEAVENS JEFF!

I began my career working with Jeff in Chesapeake. He was very helpful and always patient.  Jeff always had good things to say about his co-workers and they felt lucky to work with him.  Later, Jeff was a supervisor and Chesapeake was fortunate to have someone as knowledgeable and kind as Jeff in a leadership role.  For my part, I will never forget coming to work on Monday's and discussing what happened over the weekend in sports.  It was always fun to talk things over with my friend Jeff.  He will be missed.

Paula and I are deeply saddened at the passing of our friend. JD and Deb have been good friends going back to the early 80's. To most he was known as JD, but to me he was affectionately known as Willis. We shared many a good times.....camping, softball, beers, and of course more rounds of golf than I can remember. He was a natural on the golf course and always a source of inspiration to many of us hackers. JD introduced me to several guys who remain friends to this day, one of which went on to become a roommate and life long friend......for that I will be forever indebted. JD 'Willis Reed was a first class guy who will be greatly missed. Sincerest condolences to Deb, Shannon, Dillon, and families.
