Dear Linda, Emily, John and family,

We have too belatedly heard of Rob's passing and are so sorry to have missed the opportunity to attend his memorial service and share our condolences in person.  We have many fond memories of lovely dinners with you and Rob and of the times Emily and Liz enjoyed together when they were young - beach trips, baking, art projects, the Rodent Ball, Quicksilver, and puppies (so many puppies!)  

Our hearts go out to each of you at this time when Rob's birthday is approaching.  We'll be certain to lift a glass of Bordeaux in his honor on Monday.  Rob was an accomplished and caring friend who will be missed.
