On the evening of November 29, 2018, Ms. Wanda Coffey Minson went to be with God. Her life was enriched with the numerous recitals, football, baseball and soccer games of her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated high school English teacher who cherished her students and brought her work home with her every single night. She loved her children and grandchildren with a fierceness that could not be matched. She relished her role as both a parent and a grandparent. She would, and did, sacrifice anything for her children and grandchildren. In many ways she was more of a parent to Nick than a grandparent. Life was, at times, hard for Wanda, but she would always fight her way out with that same fierceness that she was always able to garner. Wanda is survived by a son, James Everett Albright III and his wife Traci of Midlothian, VA., a daughter Brandi Suzanne Albright of Chesterfield, VA., a sister, Trudy Hennings and her daughter Laura O’Byrne of Greensboro, NC., and two grandsons, James Thomas Albright and Nicholas Everett Albright, both of Midlothian, VA. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Jefferson Coffey Jr. and her mother Martha Williams Coffey. No immediate plans for a service in Richmond have been made as of yet. We intend to honor her wishes by holding a private service in the Appalachian Mountains when the color comes in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
