JOYCE ROSALIE LUDWIG, Age 82, of Rochester, died July 2, 2019. Joyce was born on August 16, 1936 in Detroit, daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Rose) Chenault. She is survived by her three children, Linda, Steve & Mike Wrathell; 2 granddaughters, Alisha (Matt) Downs and Ashley (Zack) Brabandt; and 6 great grandchildren, Livie, Juniper & Willem Downs and Zanden, Zeke & Zayne Brabandt. Joyce is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Purchase and a brother, Robert Chenault. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband(s) Robert Wrathell and David Ludwig, and 2 sisters, Judy Pylkas and Joanne Chenault. Joyce graduated from Denby High School in 1954 and later graduated from Macomb Community College. She was a longtime secretary at the G.M. Tech Center. A “snowbird’ for 22 years, she lived in Naples, FL, during the winters and greatly enjoyed travelling, especially visiting Mexico. Joyce was a member of Meadowbrook Theatre Guild as well as St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where she often volunteered in the Children’s ministry. She also played the piano and had a great love of music, as well as knitting. Most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She will be greatly missed. The Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester. Interment to follow at Van Hoosen Jones – Stoney Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 11, & Friday, July 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a prayer service Friday evening at 7 p.m.
