Rev. Dona Mae Gilsdorf

Rev. Dona Mae (Conner) Gilsdorf was born in Garden City, Michigan, April 2,1934 to Harry and Ruth Conner. Dona served for 13 years at Unity Church of Royal Oak as YOU sponsor and Youth Director prior to pioneering Unity Church of Rochester in 1972. Dona was a licensed Unity teacher, and became an ordained Unity minister in 1985. In addition, she served Detroit Urban School of Ministry and several Great Lakes Unity Region committees. She is survived by her sister Darlene Hall as well as many loving nephews and nieces. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Ray Gilsdorf; sister Marcella Tate and brother Harry Conner. A memorial service will be held by the Unity Church of Rochester. Contact the church for more details. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the church in Dona’s name.
