Harper E. Dunlap Jr.
July 31, 1935 – February 16, 2021
Harper E Dunlap, Jr. of Troy, Michigan, born July 31, 1935 in West Bloomfield, MI passed away peacefully on February 16, at the age of 85. Loving husband of the late Janice K Dunlap and devoted father of Peggy (Albert) Burrows and Elaine Dunlap. Harper was preceded in death by his parents Harper E Dunlap Sr. and Verda C Secunda, and his sister Nancy C King. He is survived by his daughters, his sisters Bonnie Byadiah and Marian Mroz, brother R. Kelly Dunlap (Ruth) and his grandchildren Sean Burrows and Sydney Bomers (Luke). Harper also leaves behind 2 great grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews. Harper enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, the New York Yankees and ANYTHING Michigan State. Dad, your honesty and kindness left a profound impact on us that really mattered. We will miss you dearly until we meet again. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Peggy and family I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I only met him a couple of times but he was a very warm and engaging man. I enjoyed talking with him.
You’ve created many memories over the years together. You always have them.
