Ocie was born the daughter of Grant and Laura (Helton) Saylor in Pineville, Kentucky on May 16, 1943. She graduated from Bell County High School in Pineville, Kentucky class of 1961. Ocie raised her family in the Clarkston area. She retired from General Motors after 38 years of service. Her happiest times in life was spending time with her family, friends and especially her grand children. Ocie was a good and giving person. Being recognized throughout her community as the “Coat Lady”, for donating coats to children that did not have the means to have a winter coat.
Ocie is survived by her soulmate of 40 years, Daniel A Bessey; her children John Boch and Kristie Ciavarella; grandchildren Tyler Boch, Alicia (John) Sawicki, Crystal Boch, Austin Moore, Mavrick Boch, Victoria Ciavarella, Brianna Boch, and Jewels Boch; great grand-son Daniel; siblings Buster (Monette) Saylor, Wilburn (Della) Saylor, Bonnie Kegler, Theo Saylor, Jerry (Mary) Saylor, Jake Saylor, Frances (Ed) Dishner, Larry Saylor, Gary (Rita) Saylor, and Crystal Saylor. Ocie was predeceased by her parents Grant and Laura (Helton) Saylor.
Ocie’s family invites everyone to visitation on Friday April 16, 2020 from 10am until the time of the Sharing of Memories Service at 11am at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
