Cindy A. Chait
February 16, 1958 – March 15, 2019
On March 15th, 2019, Cindy Ann Chait passed away peacefully at the age of 61. She was born in 1958, in Rochester, to parents Irene and Vern Bateman, growing up with four beloved sisters – Cathy, Nancy, Linda and Diane.
Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love and service – especially for her cherished cause, guide dogs. She raised 19 guide dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind over more than two decades.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Stu, her four sisters, her son Stuart and his wife Lee, and the two grandchildren whom she adored; as well as loving nieces and nephews and a dedicated extended family.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 18th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave., Gates. A Funeral Mass to remember Cindy will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 19th, at St. Christopher’s Church, 3350 Union St., North Chili. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Some of my greatest memories was family gathering at our grandparents house when we kids, playing with grandpa beagles,there was always something to do, tons of memories. Cindy smile and her love and time dedicated to training the serve dogs shows the person she was. My thoughts and prayers with you and your family.
