Anne W. Marciniak, 95, of Rochester Township, formerly of Conway, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 5, 1923 in Ambridge, daughter of the late Waysl and Ksenia Woloszyn. Anne was a graduate of Ambridge High School, Class of 1942. She was employed at Krauss Jewelry, Ambridge and Sears and Roebuck as a Credit Manager.
Anne was a God fearing woman who read her Bible daily. She was a firm believer in God’s Word, resting confidently its promises. Anne was a faithful member of the Ambridge Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Fair Oaks.
Family life was important to Anne. She was a loving caretaker to her mother and husband. Her home was filled with love and the sound of music as she played the piano, organ and accordion. In her time of leisure she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. She was known for her pierogi, holupki and deviled eggs. Her mind remained sharp throughout her many years; she was incredibly attentive to detail as she was a diligent note taker.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Joseph H. Marciniak on October 29, 2013; her son David Marciniak on February 25, 2013; and her sister: Mary Jones.
Anne is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Janet and Lance Lang, Rochester; three grandchildren: Marla (Robert) Carney, Export, PA; Jon (Kinga) Marciniak, Maple Grove, MN; Brian (Jaimee) Lang, Rochester; three great grandchildren: Jackson, Benjamin and Fox; and her extended family.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, immediately following the visitation with James S. Durham, officiating. Private interment will be in Economy Cemetery.
