Theresa Jane Skeba, 96, of Baden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 23, 2020. She was born April 10, 1924 in Sewickley, daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Hawran) Yaworsky. Theresa gave her life to Jesus in 1962. A woman of deep faith, who loved Christ, she was a charter member of Valley Christian Fellowship and touched many young lives as a Sunday School teacher. Faith and family defined her life. Theresa was a proficient homemaker, serving her family with sacrificial love and delicious home cooked meals; a favorite of everyone was her stuffed cabbage. One of her special gifts was that of hospitality. She was a kind and gracious woman who took great pleasure in her role as a mother, and was viewed by her family as the woman described in Proverbs 31.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-one years: Jack Skeba on April 2, 2017; her daughter: Lorraine Skeba Jones in 1984; two brothers: Tony and John Yaworsky; and sister: Oleen (Yaworsky) Eagle.
Theresa is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: David and Mary Anne Skeba, who reside in White Oak, PA.
